A-Team

Is the team that goes to compete in the competition. It consists of ten cadets. Eight cadets that compete and two that are alternates. Those alternates can compete in an event if it is felt that they are better suited for the task than one of the other 8 members. The A-Team will go through physical training to strengthen their bodies in order to do more push ups, sit ups, and get a better 2-mile time. Just like the B-Team will do. But for the competition, the A-Team will learn new skills. Which are; how to set-up one rope bridge, first aid skills, tie a swiss seat, and more. The A-Team is selected when everyone has taken the APFTs. Although you may make A-Team, it does not mean anyone has a permanent spot. Anyone on the B-Team, or from the two alternates, that are showing more potential can easily replace a member of A-Team.

B-Team

Is the alternative team if there are no more spots on A-Team. B-Team will also learn the extra skills that A-Team learns, but physical strength is the main focus for B-team. B-Team is not where "rejects" from A-Team go, B-Team means that they are potential A-Team members for an upcoming year or replacements in case something happens with a standing A-Team member. B-Team will work hard and be pushed passed their limits to be the best they can be and show the A-Team who they really should have picked, you. B-Team members can replace any A-Team member at any time during the months of practice leading up to the competition come April.
